New Training Approach -- Based on Current Client Projects-- Decreases Costs, Increases Productivity

PORTSMOUTH, RI (October 4, 2005) - CDV Systems, providers of Autodesk® Revit® and CodeBook courseware, training, implementation, and consulting services, today announced its new "Train the Project" course, a unique and successful method of training design professionals to use Revit software. This new method employs an architectural firm's own projects (rather than a "generic" project) during training. Classes are held on the firm's site, using its own network and office computers.

The "Train the Project" course is given in two phases, each lasting a week. At the end of Phase One, trainees have completed core Revit content, including the Revit Workset and Design Options feature. Phase Two, delivered four-to-six weeks later, answers questions arising during that period and drills down into core Revit functions and other advanced features used in the project. If all the setup requirements are met prior to both training phases, the attendees can expect to produce more in Revit by the end of the second week of training than if they were using standard Autocad or Microstation. Reduces Training Costs, Increases Project Productivity

The “Train the Project” course was designed to facilitate learning Revit software; reduce training costs; and increase productivity. Because trainees learn what they need to know to build their project and master Revit features in the context of their familiar design environment and processes, learning is quick and easy. Just as important, project work continues while using Revit during class time. As a result, training hours are billable, reducing training costs, and project productivity increases.

Customer Successes

This new, highly customized method of teaching is possible because CDV Systems’ instructors have broad architectural, software, and training experience. As former practicing architects, they have worked on a broad range of residential, commercial and institutional building projects. In addition, all CDV Systems instructors have significant experience in using Revit software and in training and implementing Revit software at architectural firms across the country and abroad.
