Board Presentation Culminates CDV Systems' Successful Revit Introductions to HOK Leaders in the U.S. and Europe
Winchester, MA - CDV Systems, providers of Autodesk Revit and CodeBook courseware, training, implementation, and consulting services, presented an executive briefing on Autodesk Revit to the Board of Directors of HOK, a leading global architectural design and services firm in late April. Addressed to the firm's 23 Board members at their annual meeting in London, the presentation focused on the essence of Revit - a coordinated document set and on the ROI advantage of using Revit, which enables architectural firms to use smaller project teams and draw a project once.
As a result of the briefing HOK has decided to move ahead with 20 pilot projects this year and hopes to implement the software more widely starting next year.
Currently, CDV is working with HOK to develop the firm's implementation standards and has begun Revit training at HOK's office in New York.
Earlier CDV Systems' Introduction of Revit to HOK Executives
The decision to invite CDV Systems to present Revit at the Board meeting was the result of its earlier introduction of the software to HOK Board members, executives, senior design staff, and projects managers in a series of two-day meetings held in HOK headquarters in St. Louis and offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., New York and London, England throughout March 2005.
Each of these meetings consisted of a two-day program. During the first half day, CDV Systems addressed HOK board members and top executives, outlining why Revit software, with its new, parametric, building information modeling (BIM), was "the future" for designing high-quality, innovative buildings in less time, at lower cost -- and far superior to any other product on the market. In the remaining day and a half, CDV Systems provided HOK senior design staff and production managers with hands-on, process-based training - as a general overview of Revit and how it would be applied to an actual project.
