Whether your training occurs on-site or virtually, is product specific, or with CDV’s unique "Train the Project", CDV Systems provides a world-class industry leading approach that has had proven success for our clients in developing a deeper understanding of BIM for Designers, Builders and Owners. Unlike typical web-based training, the CDV Virtual Training Center provides a truly interactive learning experience, and offers cost-effective access to expert, project-specific and pre-built product training. The typical Virtual Training Session is presented in two 4-hour blocks, separated by an hour-long break. Clients have the opportunity to either reserve their own Virtual Training time to instruct their employees in Revit applications specific to a particular project or to join a pre-scheduled class. CDV Systems has created the solution that virtually mimic's the on-site training environment for up to twelve students within the same office, or for up to twelve students across multiple offices - or even across multiple states - to participate in the same class. How does it work ?
The CDV Systems' Virtual Training Center accommodates up to 12 students at a time. Students attend classes by conveniently remaining at their own desks (in their own office) and connecting via their computers to the web-based conference sessions. Students can both hear the instructor and see his computer monitor. Likewise, the CDV Instructor can hear his students and see their monitors. Furthermore, the instructor even has the ability to move the students' mouse and take control of his or her computer. "As an instructor teaching design professionals for the past 15 years", explains architect Cyril Verley, founder of CDV Systems, "I have found the key to a successful training class to be my ability to view my students' computer screens. As long as I can do this, I know if they understand the material at hand long before they ask a question." "This new technology," Verley further explains, "allows our trainers to view and take control of a student's computer at anytime during the training while at the same time allowing the student to view the trainers computer screen. For the client, this method represents a cost savings over on-site instruction because there are no travel-related expenses involved. For smaller firms or individuals, this type of training is more affordable than a traditional full-day on-site visit from an instructor because fees are based on a per student basis, as opposed to per diem. Customized Virtual training, like CDV Systems' on-site "Train the Project" training, trains the employee in a real project and is billable to that project.
